摘要: A method is discussed to test differences in relative growth rates. This based on an analysis of variance, with In-transformed plant weight as dependent variable. significant Group × Time interaction indicates rates between groups. The advantages over the “classical” and “functional” analyses are: (1) No pairing procedure required. (2) More than two groups may be evaluated one analysis. (3) decision required about polynomial used fit data. (4) By partitioning effect using orthogonal polynomials insight gained into nature rate. (5) concentrating attention lower order terms polynomials, influence extraneous variation conclusions minimized.
