摘要: Domain ontologies are formal descriptions of the classes concepts and relationships among those that describe an application area. The Protege software-engineering methodology provides a clear division between domain domain-independent problem-solvers that, when mapped to ontologies, can solve tasks. approach allows inform total process, for be shared variety problem-solving components. We illustrate by describing development EON, set middleware components automate various aspects protocol-directed therapy. Our work illustrates organizing effect have on software-development process. Ontologies, like all representations, limitations in their ability capture semantics areas. Nevertheless, capability encode clinical distinctions not usually captured controlled medical terminologies significant advantages developers maintainers software applications.
