摘要: This study helps to address a deficiency of gender-specific research into problem gambling. It focuses on the gambling behaviors, family and personal histories comorbid psychological disorders 365 female gamblers from across Ontario, Canada, who responded mail-in survey. Specifically, this looks at rates depression anxiety, concurrent struggles with other behaviors (such as alcohol drug use, disordered eating, overspending criminal activity) abuse history reported by gamblers. The are considerably higher than for general population. findings agree previous research. They suggest that prevention strategies treatment practices should take account women’s mental health, addiction trauma contributing factors in development problematic
