摘要: The present study was carried out to investigate the effect of unilateral cervical vagotomy on antral endocrine cells in mouse. Fifty-four mice were randomly divided into three groups, 18 each, for left or right vagotomy, sham operation as controls. animals sacrificed 2, 4, and 8 weeks after operation, respectively. Chromogranin-, gastrin/CCK-, serotonin-, somatostatin-cells detected by immunohistochemistry quantitated computerised image analysis. results showed that number chromogranin-cells decreased both vagotomized 4 remained at same level weeks. numbers gastrin-, serotonin- did not change vagotomy. However, gastrin- whereas no found serotonincells. Endocrine with vacuolated cytoplasm pyknotic nuclei also observed during course time. alteration this seemed be dynamic depended observation time well denervated branches vagus nerve. This may explain, least partially contradictory obtained earlier different investigators.
