摘要: India's elderly population growth rate is estimated to be 8% and size of (+60 -70) in India likely 69 million by 2016. This implies that six-tenths the +60 -70 years one-third +70 -80 can expected reasonably good physical mental health capable leading an active life. According above mentioned statistics also as per UN directive, considered aging country category. The objective this paper know which factors contribute driver, cyclist, pedestrian unsafe characteristics a road user. decrease sensory, cognitive makes them vulnerable drivers, cyclists, pedestrians than other age group (-60). In study, total 200 100 cyclist 55 samples were interviewed using structured questionnaire. Samples weighted remove bias Delphi method according gender age. analysis reveals following statistically significant effect on elderly: (i) 60+ drivers’ faces strength such steering, braking, looking aside/backside. (ii) Walking speed (30-40%) less standard intersection crossing design (iii) Driver, experience vision glare related problem decreased hear loss become worse with noise (iv) impairment perception-reaction time increased 20 30% Intersection sign/marking becomes very due function (v) Gap finding finally (vi) geometry. Self-reported data was analyzed based 10 point scale (1 indicates serious not problem). emerging new set user's may warrant addressing issue pedestrian. Therefore, category users form require immediate consideration planning for efficient operations safe mobility.
