摘要: The simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV) is genotypically and phenotypically similar to the human type 2 (HIV-2). Both viruses display structural, biological, immunological properties. external envelope glycoprotein (EMP) transmembrane (TMP) appear be formed from cleavage of a precursor glycoprotein. Despite these similarities, number differences exist as evidenced by different migratory properties glycoproteins. present invention discloses novel SIV peptides, obtained glycoprotein, that cross-reactivity with HIV-2-specific antisera. Epitope mapping studies revealed amino acid sequence --CAFRQVC--, which corresponds residues 614-620, sine qua non for retention this cross-reactivity. These peptides are useful in diagnostic methods detection antibodies infected patients.
