On the propagation of a low frequency excitation in a perturbed FitzHugh-Nagumo system: Simulation and experiments

摘要: In this paper, we first report the response of an elementary FitzHugh–Nagumo electronic circuit excited by a low frequency sine wave and perturbed additive high deterministic perturbation. This preliminary study constitutes reference to analyze collective behavior chain 45 coupled cells. particular, focus on propagation which is only applied fifteen cells lattice. It shown that perturbs whole network can enable or disable signal. By reducing strength intercellular coupling below critical value, also establish fails whatever amplitude Finally, adding stochastic perturbation perturbation, numerically experimentally investigate their combined effects component. Numerical experimental results reveal that, under certain conditions, noise assist excitation.
