摘要: The Coomassie brilliant blue protein assay is commonly used because of its sensitivity and convenience, but it not well understood on a molecular level. This study attempts to gain better understanding the system through spectrophotometric binding studies carried out selected proteins under solvent conditions characteristic normal assay. were generally conducted at high protein/dye concentration ratios, where only high-affinity dye sites would be occupied. Modified Scatchard Hill analyses show that these are few in number compared total dye-binding given protein. magnitudes constants typical noncovalent interactions.
