摘要: The execution of a reservoir for the production electric energy substantially affects daily lives populations living in area, mainly those fishers who exploit fishing resources barred river. Nevertheless, these and impact on them have been little considered decision making construction dam. Currently, commercial is great importance population around Balbina reservoir, built 30 years ago. However, information regarding activity still incipient. objective this study to identify structural socioeconomic aspects peacock bass Cichla vazzoleri, order contribute fishery management. Semi-structured interviews were carried out with sixty fishers. They answered questions about their C. main exploited species. results showed that most male, few reported being under old. Their level education was low, everyone affiliated some Fishers’ Association. used gear hand-line. Throughout year, made only one trip per week. effort varied relatively between flood dry seasons or localities. average revenue Rumo Certo season R$ 281.85 (± 134.05), 190.30 (± 160.56) season. In Balbina, 404.45 (± 237.94) 299.66 (± 151.11) owned small boats employed activity, they financed fisheries themselves. it observed income supplementation very important, because from low variable, subject seasonal behavior market price established by intermediaries.
