摘要: Objectives Sources of immunization data include state registries or information systems (IIS), medical records, and surveys. Little is known about the quality these sources feasibility using IIS for research. We assessed collecting a national children's health study by accessing existing comparing completeness against record abstractions (MRA) parent report. Staff time needed to obtain MRA was assessed. Methods administered questionnaire state-level representatives ascertain availability their research gather formats. evaluated from IIS, reports parents 119 National Children's Study participants at three locations. Results were comparable both more complete than parental Agreement between greater report MRA, suggesting are better Obtaining took less staff chart review, making linkage preferred choice. Conclusions survey results indicate can be obtained researchers linkages. an accessible feasible child source reduce reliance on abstraction. Researchers seeking link with large multi-site studies should consider acquiring data, but may need strategies overcome barriers linkage.
