摘要: The 10 g monofilament has been replaced by the ballpoint pen in routine sensory testing of nerves leprosy control Ethiopia. Results between and different monofilaments on hands feet were compared. Ballpoint underdiagnosis loss sensation was defined to occur when felt not. Differences evaluated both for individual test points (test point level) extremities collectively (extremity level). An extremity (either a hand or foot) as having nerve function impairment (SNFI) if supplying had SNFI, which case absent two more area supplied that nerve. At level, percentages with relative 2, 10, 20 50 40, 21, 9 7%, respectively, hands, 47, 30, 15 7% feet. SNFI at level 32, 18, 8 9% 37, 26, 14 6% risk appears be higher without visible damage. In conclusion, substantial levels observed. However, consequences prognosis treatment corticosteroids patients subtle noted here need established. Development guidelines is prerequisite use pen.
