摘要: Atmospheric absorption is one of the most unusual and intriguing examples water transport in animals, involving mechanisms that move against spectacular thermodynamic gradients (Machin 1979b). Physiological study phenomenon has required development a wholly different experimental technology from normally found physiologist’s laboratory. The experimenter must explore movements both gas liquid phases, find ways measuring biological fluids exceedingly high solute concentration correspondingly reduced solvent activities, frequently overcome difficulties working with very small animals.
