摘要: Diagnosis of tuberculous uveitis (TBU) is often challenging and usually made after excluding other causes uveitis. We analysed the characteristics TBU variables associated with visual outcome. A retrospective, observational analysis was performed in patients presumptive who were started on specific TB treatment between January 2006 June 2016. Demographic, clinical, radiological, analytical ophthalmic examination studied. After completing treatment, a follow-up at least 9 months performed. univariate logistic regression applied to identify acuity recurrences Forty affected eyes 24 individuals identified; 79% diagnosed during last 3 years study period. Median delay from onset symptoms diagnosis 12 weeks. Loss most frequent symptom (87.5%). Posterior localization (72.9%); 19 (79.2%) presented one Gupta signs predictive TBU, but there no confirmed diagnoses. There improvement 74.4% eyes, complete response achieved only 56.4%. recurrence two patients. The initiation treatment ≥ 24 weeks significantly (p = 0.026). can cause permanent damage acuity, particularly delayed diagnosis. prompt systemic essential improve prognosis.
