Resonant Oscillations Between the Solid Earth and the Atmosphere

摘要: Continuously excited free oscillations of the whole Earth have been found in ground noise a frequency band long-period surface waves. Here we report evidence an annual variation this phenomenon, indicating that excitation source is not within solid Earth. There these seismic resonate with acoustic atmosphere. The observed amplitudes suggest at or just above Earth's surface.
