摘要: Background Long-term exposure to drugs of abuse causes an upregulation the cAMP-signaling pathway in nucleus accumbens and other forebrain regions, this common neuroadaptation is thought underlie aspects drug tolerance dependence. Phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) enzyme that selective hydrolyzes intracellular cAMP. It expressed several brain regions regulate reinforcing effects abuse.
