摘要: Observations on sectioned and opened preparations of human sacroiliac joints (SI joints) show the presence cartilage-covered ridges depressions, which are complementary auricular surfaces. These macroscopically visible features joints, become relatively early in life, more pronounced men than women. This type roughening, as well that by increased coarseness surface, is viewed a nonpathologic adaptation to forces exerted at SI leading stability. Differences between women may be attributed childbearing difference center gravity. It emphasized intra-articular depressions can misinterpreted roentgenologically osteophytes.
