摘要: Background: It has been suggested that human hepatocyte growth factor (hHGF) maintains the and viability of hepatocytes biliary epithelial cells. The purpose this study was to determine plasma hHGF concentrations in patients with obstructive jaundice correlate these findings clinical outcome. Methods: included 22 who had obstruction underwent percutaneous transhepatic drainage. hHGF, standard liver function tests, daily bile flow half-life serum total bilirubin were measured following Results: Plasma significantly higher compared a control group (P< 0.01). correlated white cell count, prothrombin time 0.05), but not values from other tests. Seven died within 3 months after drainage than 15 survived for at least 0.05). experienced poor outcome also lower flows prolonged half-lives survivors decreased 0.01), Conclusions: These results suggest systemic inflammation hepatic dysfunction caused by cause an increase hHGF. In addition, may be predictor jaundiced patients.
