摘要: Abstract WO3 nanoparticles with hexagonal and monoclinic structures were synthesized via a microwave-assisted hydrothermal process without the use of any additives in which microwave reaction time was 30 or 60 min followed by different thermal treatments. The formation at temperatures (h-WO3) (m-WO3) crystal confirmed X-ray powder diffraction (XRD). characterization samples complemented scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images, revealed natural tendency oxides to form particles ovoid shapes. particle size prepared between 20 100 nm depending on heat-treatment temperatures. surface areas samples, as determined BET method, ranged from 2 113 m2 g−1 their temperature synthesis. highest obtained specific area nearly 37 times greater than that observed for commercial WO3. photocatalytic activity evaluated respect degradation reactions rhodamine B (rhB), indigo carmine (IC) tetracycline hydrochloride (TC) under UV–vis irradiation. sample treatment 700 °C 30 min. degree mineralization organic dyes total carbon analysis (TOC) found reach percentages 95% rhB, 65% IC TC after 96 h
