摘要: This article presents the results of an exploratory study students’ knowledge about scientists and countries’ contributions to science, aiming at answering two research questions: “In which ways are students aware history scientific development carried out by different people in places world? What can be influencing shaping their awareness?” Thus, this aimed depicting History Science (HOS), focusing on what they know science being done communities from parts world how is constructed through engagement with school science. An was multicultural state secondary schools London, UK, involving 200 aged 12–15 (58.5% girls, 41.5% boys) five teachers. The method involved initial exploration HOS open-ended survey, followed classroom-based observations semi-structured interviews participants. Results showed a disconnection between remembering knowing work background, hinting emphasis illustrative decontextualised approaches towards HOS.
