Effect of pH on the control of molecular orientation in monolayer of bent-core liquid crystal materials by Langmuir–Blodgett method

摘要: Control of molecular orientation at the substrate surface is significant to understand science. Langmuir films bent-core liquid crystals having alkyl chains both ends were deposited on silicon substrate. Studies carried out air–water interface by changing pH subphase. On compression, molecules arranged in stacks high where as uniform monolayer was formed lower pH. Limiting area increased low pH, which resulted formation after attaining a sustainable pressure. transferred substrate, and atomic force microscopy images showed appropriate height profiles.
