摘要: Formative measurement models were first introduced in the literature more than forty years ago and discussion about their methodological contribution has been increasing since 1990s. However, use of formative indicators for construct empirical studies is still scarce. This paper seeks to encourage thoughtful application by (a) highlighting potential consequences model misspecification, (b) providing a state-of-the art review key issues literature. For former purpose, this summarizes findings investigating effects misspecification. latter article merges contributions psychology, management, marketing literatures examine variety concerning conceptualization, estimation, validation models. Finally, offers some suggestions future research on measurement.
