The nipple-sparing mastectomy: early results of a feasibility study of a new application of perioperative radiotherapy (ELIOT) in the treatment of breast cancer when mastectomy is indicated.

摘要: Background Breast cancer surgery has become less and mutilating, however a mastectomy is required in the case of multicentric, large tumors or recurrences after conservative treatment. The removal nipple areola complex during dramatically increases feeling mutilation.
