Diamond electronic devices-a critical appraisal

摘要: The electronic properties of diamond with particular emphasis on current research into the production semiconducting films by chemical vapour deposition are reviewed. It is stressed that no method producing n-type having a conductivity appropriate to device applications has been developed date. An analysis temperature-dependence hole mobility for six natural diamonds indicates room-temperature value very sensitive presence ionised impurities, and reemphasises fact decreases rapidly increasing temperature. A number devices have fabricated, or proposed, examined in light these properties. survey suggests claims made are, general, optimistic, few, if any, likely be commercially successful.
