摘要: Due to extensive medicinal importance and wide distributional range of Primula denticulata Sm., locally known as Doker-neej (Kashmiri) family Primulaceae, in Kashmir valley, the present investigation was carried out study variations phenology, stomatal traits content phytochemicals species relation altitude. During investigation, trends which include: density, length breadth guard cells potential conductance index (PCI) along an altitudinal gradient were analyzed by using standard methods. Samples from different populations with varying altitudes also subjected qualitative quantitative estimation for presence various spectrophotometric techniques. It observed that mean values four varied significantly (p≤0.05) across populations. Phytochemicals such phenols, tannins, alkaloids saponins all sampled but their quantity populations.  This assessing phytochemical plants at can help select elite genotype reflect best suited altitude commercial cultivation these are considered basis activity.
