摘要: The dynamic tear (DT) test is often used to obtain key fracture parameters. Previous work indicates that the first impact waves arriving at specimen notch may not create a stress state critical for fracture. In this article, finite element program transient simulation of an actual DT compared with analytical solution time interval prior arrival wave reflections from surfaces. program, which uses uniform spatial mesh size and does require singular elements, then determine field any time. It found reflected generate necessary A intensity factor value estimated. This estimate shows good agreement other experimentally based results.
