摘要: Rabbit myosin rapidly binds 3–4 moles PCMB/10 5 g. protein. Further binding, up to a maximum of 7–8 g., occurs at progressively diminishing rate. The reaction rate increases with both and PCMB concentrations. binding causes an acceleration ATPase inhibition ITPase activity. These effects are more pronounced if the myosin-PCMB is carried out high concentration (∼1 mg./ml.). Enzymic rates after such treatment not constant in time. changes accelerated presence substrate suggestive rearrangement on protein initial reaction. Treatment for long times (48 hr.) avoids some these complications. A linear relation between titer then found. reversal by glutathione has also been studied. results interpreted terms model two-point attachment enzyme.
