摘要: Recent work has considered the relationship between value and confidence in both behavioural neural representation. Here we evaluated whether brain organises signals a systematic fashion that reflects overall desirability of options. If so, regions respond to either increases or decreases should be widespread. We strongly confirmed these predictions through model-based fMRI analysis mixed gambles task assessed subjective (SV) inverse decision entropy (iDE), which is related confidence. Purported areas more signalled iDE than SV, underscoring how intertwined are. A gradient tied actions transitioned from positive SV ventromedial prefrontal cortex negative dorsal medial cortex. This alignment could support retrospective evaluation guide learning subsequent decisions. Sebastian Bobadilla-Suarez et al. evaluate brain-wide organization confidence, as determined by entropy, using mode-based subjects performing gambling task. They showed are organized into across human brain.
