Value of normothermic perfusion, hypothermic perfusion, and durotomy in the treatment of experimental acute spinal cord trauma.

摘要: ✓ Investigations were performed to determine the relative therapeutic value of local hypothermic perfusion, normothermic and durotomy in monkeys injured by circumferential compression spinal cord at T9–10. A new method was used consisting an inflatable Silastic cuff which passed around extradurally inflated either 350 or 400 mm Hg. At lower force, both perfusion improved neurological recovery compared that control animals. However, higher degree only produced significantly better recovery.
