摘要: Abstract In the present paper, a new computationally-efficient frequency domain formulation of critical plane-based Carpinteri–Spagnoli (C–S) criterion is proposed to evaluate fatigue lives smooth metallic structures subjected multiaxial random loading. The plane orientation here depend on Power Spectral Density (PSD) matrix stress tensor. Then, PSD function an equivalent normal defined by considering linear combination functions and projected shear along direction maximum variance, with such stresses acting plane. Such allows us apply Tovo–Benasciutti method estimate life structural components. C–S applied some relevant tests related specimens under non-proportional bending torsion
