摘要: The aim of this study is to describe how people who have been critically ill, and their close relatives experience a post-discharge, follow-up visit the intensive care unit (ICU) that provided care. There lack studies from such standpoint. design qualitative. A total 18 adults participated; nine had ill were relatives, all made post-discharge an ICU in northern part Sweden. data was collected through personal interviews, conducted after visit, using narrative approach. then subjected qualitative thematic content analysis which resulted four themes: receiving strength returning together; making sense critical-illness experience; feeling grateful survived possibility improving People felt together valuable. Meeting staff, with whom participants they developed relationship, it possible for them express gratitude treatment nursing received, suggest improvements. interviews revealed seen as important way learning what happened why during period critical illness.
