摘要: Abstract Intermediate layer friction stir spot welding (IL-FSSW) is introduced in this study as a novel technique to eliminate the keyhole associated with conventional (FSSW). This process utilized for fabricating joint of 6061-T6 and 2024-T3 aluminum alloys. The based on preventing occurrence owing addition an intermediate (IL), rendering additional post-treatments unnecessary. Results indicated decent appearance without along improved mechanical performance yielding lap shear force over 4.5 kN. microstructure weld cross-section that IL contributed nugget zone revealed its influence formation hooked structure. fracture surface showed ductile features within boundary, whereas mixed failure was prevalent outside it.
