摘要: This paper summarizes the survey responses of 67 families with children who were hospitalized after traumatic injuries. The was conducted during pre-planning phase a major research proposal on rehabilitation had been injured. purpose to involve in identification needs and determination priorities for training childhood first part focused direct services that their received through medical, psychosocial, educational vocational interventions providers. second concerned immediate long-term effects child's injury upon family. Families asked indicate: (1) care they considered most important recovery; (2) areas needing more study; (3) needed by professionals; (4) information families. Major findings importance emergency room treatment quality hospital care; concerns about communication between professionals parents; uncertainty expectations future; lack community resources. Written comments emphasized emotional impact physical trauma need longitudinal research, pediatric viewed as broad spectrum starting hospitalization continuing school programs. As result this several projects initiated. They include: revision head sheets distributed rooms, physician skills, preparation service coordinators, development materials programs specifically
