摘要: Abstract This paper presents a geographic information system (GIS)-based multi-criteria decision making approach for forest conservation planning at landscape scale. enables makers to evaluate the relative priorities of conserving areas based on set preferences, criteria and indicators area. Compromise programming techniques are used integrate priority maps groups where separation distance is calculated. A clustering analysis was applied identify potential as basis delineating new protected areas. The study conducted in Kinabalu area, Sabah, Malaysia two polygons neighboring Park were delineated. group 11 totaling 2050 ha has also been detected western part Park. recommends inclusion polygon (359 ha) another (4361 ha) west park green corridor linking should be constructed facilitate animal movement interaction. reveals that riparian vegetation an important aspect legislation protect zones strengthened.
