摘要: Mitochondrial translation depends on the macromolecular components imported from cytosol, which include factors, ribosomal proteins, aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases, and a variable number of small noncoding RNAs. The lasts are essentially tRNAs, but other RNAs, like mammalian 5S rRNA, also concerned by RNA mitochondrial targeting pathway. If their importance in was demonstrated each case where it addressed, precise function these molecules differs one system to another: many cases they complement lacking mtDNA encoded counterparts, others can fulfill conditional functions, finally lack needed enzymatic activities. In any case, appears that innated capacity mitochondria import is supplied specific additional protein, often performing “second job” deliver organelle. This mechanism, still not understood details, remains unique natural pathway nucleic acids delivery mitochondria, therefore significant interest as tool permitting target this organelle with potentially therapeutic thus addressing very important bulk human pathologies linked dysfunctions machinery.
