摘要: Recently, a breeding technology for hybrid pigeonpea [Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp.] based on cytoplasmic-nuclear male sterility (CMS) and partial natural outcrossing was developed at ICRISAT. The limited number of experimental hybrids tested has shown the presence considerable amount vigor seed yield. In present study, one extra-early- (120 d), two early- (150 late-maturing (180 d) were studied to generate information genetics fertility restoration A 4 CMS system. extra-earlymaturing hybrids, pollen controlled by single dominant gene, whereas in earlyand late- maturing governed duplicate genes. It also observed that with genes produced greater load expressed stability as compared those carrying gene. inheritance will help designing strategies elite parents, it concluded stable restoration, is essential.
