摘要: Field experiments were conducted for three years (1989-91) at the research farms of Iowa State University near Ames and Ankeny to evaluate water-table management (WTM) effects on groundwater quality. Water-table depths 0.3, 0.6, 0.9 m maintained in field lysimeters site, variable a subirrigation site. Water samples collected from various soil analyze NO3-N concentrations groundwater. Concentration changed with WTM practices. The lowest observed under shallow depths. generally decreased increased time during growing season all Crop yields higher 0.6 than other depths, corn 0.2 0.3 m. Results this study indicate that practices can be used substantially reduce also strongly support need further water quality crop production.
