A Scalable Architecture Supporting QoS Guarantees Using Traffic Engineering and Policy Based Routing in the Internet

摘要: The study of Quality Service (QoS) has become great importance since the Internet is used to support a wide variety new services and applications with its legacy structure. Current architecture based on Best Effort (BE) model, which attempts deliver all traffic as soon possible within limits abilities, but without any guarantee about throughput, delay, packet loss, etc. We develop three-layer policy can be deployed control network resources intelligently QoS sensi-tive such real-time voice video streams along standard in Internet. In order achieve selected parameter values (e.g. delay PDV) bounds set through SLAs for high priority Internet, we engineering techniques routing supported by Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). Use prototype simulations validates function-ality our architecture.
