摘要: Polymer networks having a bimodal distribution of network chain lengths can be prepared by end-linking two sets chains different molecular weights. These unusual elastomers frequently have better mechanical properties than those unimodal distribution, which suggests that trimodal distributions could possibly yield further improvements. The theory based on with finite extensibility was therefore extended to networks. Specifically, various compositions very long, and short were characterized regard their toughness in elongation. results showed incorporating small numbers long into significantly improved ultimate properties.
