摘要: Abstract Health-promoting and health-endangering humor styles as measured with the Humor Styles Questionnaire have been repeatedly associated personality traits. Yet, a comprehensive meta-analysis of all currently available studies on this topic well an exploration highly heterogeneous effect sizes found in literature is still missing. We provide updated overview literature, synthesize its results random effects model meta-analysis, explore possible moderators. An extensive search identified 24 from 13 countries (N = 11,791). were positively correlated extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, openness, negatively neuroticism. Health-endangering neuroticism agreeableness conscientiousness. Between-study heterogeneity ranged I2 = 41% to 96% could be only partially explained by moderator variables. The appear robust respect individual studies, publication bias, measurement error, mostly generalizable across sexes, sample composition, continent. Further research required examine these associations less developed countries, moderators for high amount size heterogeneity, development lifespan.
