Daytime television talk shows: Guests, content and interactions

摘要: Strident controversy over the often‐bizarre subject matter of daytime television talk shows motivated this content analysis 11 with highest Nielsen ratings in 1994–95. A sample 10 episodes each was videotaped and subjected to a systematic shows’ guests, topics discussion interactions. Results indicate that genre program indulges overrepresentation female, youthful African American guests. The most prevalent major topic parenting on nearly half episodes. In general, these center around family issues, sexual activity dating.
