摘要: This study reports sorption isotherms of the endocrine disruptors nonylphenol (NP) and octylphenol (OP) in three sediment samples from Ebro River basin (NE Spain), with organic carbon fractions (f(OC)) ranging 0.0035 to 0.082 g(OC)g(-1). All were fitted Freundlich model slightly nonlinear exponents 0.80 0.94. The solubility compounds as well (OC) content had strongest influences on behavior these compounds. Comparison laboratory-spiked native contamination NP 45 water concurrent resulted reasonable matches between both data sets, even though lowest concentrations field not completely reached laboratory tests. good agreement indicates that can be extrapolated environmental levels therefore distribution sediments predicted a precision one order magnitude. Furthermore, experiments simultaneous loading OP revealed negligible competition for sites at low concentrations.
