Evaluating primary schools' gardens in terms of environmental contribution to student learning: a case study in Antalya, Turkey.

摘要: Children and youngsters of school age living in metropole cities need places where they can get touch with nature order to more fully realize their physical, intellectual emotional developmental needs. There are many theoretical practical scientific studies on the benefit gardens for various educational purposes. Though efforts schools based personal awareness be seen occasionally, purposeful usage contribution education students social, physical psychological well-being have not been considered a requirement Turkey, as developed countries. In this study, landscapes primary located Konyaalti district, Antalya, were examined terms principles landscape architecture outcomes. The specific issues addressed regarding were: examining existing conditions, determining problems planning design, qualitative assessment outdoor space, principals concerning enhancement opportunities through well designed, aesthetically pleasing gardens. School Konyaalti, exhibit following reasons: a) poor/insufficient b) insufficient appropriation land c) unqualified management importance student-environment interaction. Because an extremely high student-to-teacher ratio, teachers left time or energy develop projects However, researchers impression that principals, parents build bridge between respective civil public organizations attain voluntary contributions.
