摘要: The solution structure of the cellular patterns formed during directional solidification a material containing dilute impurity is studied by numerical analysis simple model. Solution families corresponding to cells different spatial wavelength arise as growth velocity increased above value for onset instability. resonant interaction between these steady-state shapes leads both stable and unstable time-periodic oscillations. Only some oscillatory interface structures computed here have been predicted normal mode analyses codimension-two bifurcations. interactions with limit range validity asymptotic expansions too small be reliably measured experimentally.
