摘要: Although prolonged sitting appears as a novel risk factor related to health outcomes for all ages, its association needs be replicated in occupational conditions. This study explored the associations between sedentary behavior and four noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) well two cardiometabolic factors (CMRFs) among workers petroleum company, Thailand. All were invited complete online self-report questionnaire. Sedentary was measured amount of time at work, during recreation, while commuting. Out 3365 contacted, 1133 (34%) participated. Prevalence NCDs CMRFs 36% positively associated with behavior. After adjusting age, BMI, exercise, office work 40% greater compared more active field work. Those who took break without than twice day commuted by walking or cycling had less CMRFs. The total duration 10 h/day, two-thirds that workplace sitting. significantly (p < 0.001).
