摘要: The yeast homeodomain proteins a1 and alpha 2 interact to form a heterodimer that binds DNA with high specificity. recognition element consists of two similar half sites, arranged dyad symmetry separated by fixed number base pairs. We demonstrate in the 2-DNA complex, one these half-sites is bound while other 2. These assignments allow comparison chemical nuclease protection patterns produced both when together hsg operator. Contrary simple expectations, we propose homeodomains are on tandem, despite fact sequence symmetric.
