摘要: Abstract Pd metal supported on Zn II –Cr III mixed oxide is an efficient bifunctional catalyst for the one-step synthesis of methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK) from acetone and H 2 in gas liquid phases. The reaction involves acid-catalysed condensation to mesityl oxide, followed by its hydrogenation MIBK. Diisobutyl (DIBK) a useful byproduct this process. Zn–Cr oxides (Zn/Cr = 20:1–1:30) are prepared coprecipitation Cr hydroxides. texture acid properties (i.e., nature, density, strength sites) oxides, as well dispersion catalysts, thoroughly characterised. For both continuous gas-phase process batch liquid-phase process, preferred formulation 0.3 wt% amorphous (1:1) ( S BET = 132 m / g ) having Lewis sites (1.2 mmol/g density) with enthalpy NH 3 adsorption − 155 kJ mol . Both processes produce MIBK selectivity 70–78% 90% MIBK + DIBK total at 38–40% conversion. Evidence provided that rate-limiting step
