摘要: The communities of parasitic helminths from ten species lizards on seven islands in the Caribbean were examined to ascertain relative importance predictable deterministic factors and unpredicatable colonization or extinction events determining structure parasite community. A simple graphical model community is used as a "null model" describe features that are dependent only upon size host population life histories constituent species. This predicts will exhibit nested pattern local global abundance. observed data correspond fairly well this pattern. absences individual where they might be expected present emphasizes role stochastic delineating members any island.Statistical analysis distribution per illustrates random habitats diversity low, but decreasingly variable more diverse occur. Increased also leads an increase proportion hosts contain mixed infections. Comparisons worm burdens single infections within suggest interactions between rarely reduced burdens.
