摘要: The plasma concentrations of the different lipoproteins have been associated with coronary artery disease since pioneering ultracentrifugal studies John Gofman and his colleagues in Berkeley late 1940s1’2. direct correlation concentration cholesteryl ester-rich low density (LDL)* cholesterol-enriched atheroma supported conceptual framework identifying lipoprotein particles as both vehicles for cholesterol transport well participants atherogenesis. However, even these seminal studies, inverse association atherosclerotic HDL indicated heterogeneity pathophysiological significance particles2.
