摘要: Abstract Samples were collected under various oceanographic conditions from the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, Gulf of Lower California, Mexico, Bay Panama to determine surface-active chloroform-soluble components present in sea surface. The organic constituents isolated these samples analyzed by gas chromatographic techniques. major are fatty esters, free acids, alcohols, hydrocarbons. A fraction may be products biological organisms contained sampled water. chemical classes found general all areas sampled, but specific differences within exist one location another. Thus, distribution acids alcohols varies according meteorological prevalent at a articular location. competition for adsorption sites exists surface between species. higher molecular weight less water-soluble most likely adsorbed while more or entities forced out material when competitive adsorptive processes occur.
