摘要: A previous experiment by the present authors studied flow over a finite-width rectangular cavity at freestream Mach numbers 1.5–2.5. In addition, this investigation considered influence of three-dimensional geometry that is not replicated simplified cavities extend across entire wind-tunnel test section. The latter configurations have attraction easy optical access into depths cavity, but they do reproduce effects upon turbulent structures and acoustic modes due to length-to-width ratio, which becoming recognized as an important parameter describing nature within narrower cavities.
